Francine has a cheery attitude, remaining optimistic at the darkest of times. Her empathetic and caring personality makes her unable to leave other people’s problems alone. She won’t stop persisting until they’re smiling all over; she’s a bit of a busybody. What makes her so empathetic is her mentally sensitive nature. She’s very observant of people’s emotions, always observing her surroundings. That being said, her mood is easily influenced from others. She could laugh hysterically or start cursing you with temporary hair loss. This childish side of her is something she wishes to cover up by acting mature like an adult. More accurately, she’s trying to become like her parents who are her dream and goal. Both of her parents graduated as model students and got hired into respectable jobs. This determination shows itself in her hardworking and earnest nature in her classes and her loyalty to her friends. As mature and adult like she attempts to be, she can’t hold down her cheekiness just yet. As bod as the prank doesn’t cause serious bodily harm or break too many rules, she’s there for a good laugh.

• Background:

On a trip to France, her mother met her father. They fell in love and moved to England where they had 3 children; Francine, Clement and Adrian. Before her little brothers were born, she was often sent to her grandparent’s home as her parents were quite busy with work. There, she often bothered her grandparents to read and explain the many thick volumes of books they owned. Although they were indeed interesting, she longed to be in the company of wizard and witches around her ages. So every so often she would sneak out when her grandparents were sleeping. When she did find them eventually but she soon realized she had no idea how to approach them. She didn't want to just creepily watch from afar so she played small pranks on them. When the children discovered that it was her causing all the mischief, she was frightened of how they would react. Instead of being hated, they marveled at how sneaky she was for evading them this far. The next day, she joined in on the fun.

Time passed and eventually two healthy baby boys were born into the Ferdon household. Urged by the arrival of her baby brothers, she became determined to become a perfect role model for them. With her magic beginning to surface; she hit the books in preparation for Hogwarts. Sure enough as she came to age, her admittance letter to Hogwarts came. Sorted into Hufflepuff, she began her 7 years of magic schooling. 

During her first few months of education, she was very absorbed with her studies and being a perfect student. She'd often got mildly disheartened if she made mistakes and such but gradually became more accepting of her little failures. She soon began to show potential in certain subjects such as Charms and Herbology, most likely due to the influence of her parents. She also excelled in flying class, enjoying the freedom in the skies. Much to her embarrassment, she almost fell off her broom on the first day of flying due to her excitement. She oftens daydreams of being a high scoring speedy quidditch player although she showed to be plenty content just being in the audience for the school tournaments. She showed to become very enthusiastic during the matches and often lost her voice the days following them. Her weaker subjects included Potions. She spent hours practising to make sure it didn't weigh down her marks. Every month she would send letters home to her family, often receiving her favourite sweets from her parents with doting letters. Every now and again, she noticed the packet already opened with a noticeably less amount of sweets then it was supposed to have. She suspected her little brother Clement to be the cause and did a little payback in the holidays for it.  

Though her first year in Hogwarts exceeded her expectations in fun, she was confronted with mystery and great sadness from the tragedies occurred. With odd sicknesses and the murder of one of the school's treasured staff she worries for her siblings' safety and she hopes for better years to come.

+ Her name means 'Free'.
+ Appearance wise, she resembles her mother almost entirely but she has inherited her father's droopy teal eyes. 
+ Her mother was a Gryffindor student at Hogwarts while her father studied magic at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. Her mother admitted she was quite mischievous during her younger years in Hogwarts. Though she cracked down on her pranks during her senior years she had already earned her a fair amount of detentions, becoming especially notorious for them. Francine gained many aspects of her mother personality wise but her father's gentle and calm traits mellowed down her temperament.  
+ She likes to practise jinxes on unsuspecting classmates. Such as the tripping curse in crowded hallways, sometimes causing the falling victim to join lips with another. Her fondness of such jinxes earned her excellent proficiency over them. 
+ Although she doesn't seek to become a professional player, she is an avid supporter of Holyhead Harpies and the Irish International Quidditch teams in the World Cups.
+ She finds muggle life a bit dull but she does finds some of their objects rather charming.
